The dots are more red now and I have noticed an increase in the sensitivity if Iaccidentally  touch them.

Went for a quick review with skin specialist today to see how I was tracking after two weeks. 

She was quite pleased and a little surprised at the lack of coverage. However, as she put it, "it will find what it needs to."

I thought she would start on my cheeks today, but she was going to do one area at a time. 

I asked if the forehead would get any worse and she indicated not much. So, I asked if I could start the next area. The specialist said, "if your feeling brave."

Well, I don t know about brave, but I just want to get it done. So I will start tomorrow.

I think the face experience could be a bit more dramatic.

Noticing a bit more sensitivity on contact now. The area is not sore but I do notice it stings when touched and when applying cream. 

The right side is still the most prominent and the left is starting to show itself.

Well it would appear that the sun damage is not across whole forehead. The area on the right side is now reasonably prominent. 

It does make me nervous about the next stage which is my cheeks.

Its still the pink spots on the right side of my forehead. I think they are getting more prominent. The photo doesn t show how bright they are. 

They doing sting now on contact when bathing or applying cream.

Still not much to report, surprisingly. The same pink dots on the right side of forehead. The only thing I can indicate is that on that side it does sting a little bit on application of cream.

Well, its Day 7 and still not much to report. Can feel some raised dots when applying cream and there are the same pink dots but not much else.

There are some pink spots appearring where I thought there was some sun damage, but its certainly not leaping out. 

No pain or discomfort to report.

Still not much to report.

It is from Day 3 things are supposed to start happening. Guess it could be the calm before the storm. 

I don t know if its because I want to see something happening, but there could be some pink spots and maybe some raised dots appearing. 

Time will tell. 

Day 2, Monday 16 June 2014

Nothing to report this morning. 

Still working out best way to apply "evening" dose. Only rinsing face in shower, and that filmy feeling goes away. However, am putting on at around 530pm so it has a few hours to absorb. 

Full day at work today, cold weather exposure heading in and home. Air con in office. Still nothing much to report. All i can say is that I have noticed my eyes stinging occasionally. I think it is the proximity to the cream (I am treating forehead). 

All the readings tell me not to expect anything until 3 - 5 days. 

Day 1, Sunday15 June 2014

I have spent a childhood growing up on the beach and with fair skin, the combination results in sun damage now. 

After having several BCC's excised over the last 10 years or so, it was time to try and eliminate any future slicing. 

And so it begins...

The only reason I have decided to go ahead with this is because my skin specialist does not advocate doing the whole face at once. Her description of "pizza face" is not encouraging.

Efudix is a white cream that is to be applied as a thin layer.  The first application did not sting or cause any initial discomfort. 

I guess time will tell...

I have noticed as the day has progressed that it feels like sunscreen. It leaves a film on the skin. 

It has made me re evaluate when I will apply the evening dose. Instead of waiting until closer to bed time, I will put it on again after dinner. That way my evening shower shouldn t effect it. I am also conscious of the instructions which say not to apply at bedtime as it might smear it around other areas of the face. 

After 9 hours...

Well, after 9 hours I can only report a tingling sensation on my forehead.  I have now applied the second daily coating.
